This first year course will include simplifying and evaluating expressions, solving first and second degree equations, inequalities, exponents, operating with polynomials, factoring, rational expressions in equations and radicals. A qualifying exam is required.

French I
Tuesday 9:30-12:00
This is a beginning high school level course intended for those with little or no prior instruction in French. Students will learn basic communication, simple questions/answers, descriptions, and narration in the present tense. French culture will be explored.

Advanced French
Thursday 9:30-12:00
This is an intensive French grammar course for high school students who have completed a minimum of three years of French study and who are preparing to take the French SAT II exam or the French language AP exam.

Studio Art
Thursday 9:30-12:00
This class will seek to develop the student’s artistic abilities as we cover the elements and principles of art and design. Always looking at art in the past and present, we will work our projects around these developing skills in the context of art history. Instructor approval is required for all new students.
